Mr. Akeem Jabari Ellison was born on April 20, 2004, in Thomaston, GA to Ms. Akenna Ellison and Mr. Maurice Parks. On Saturday, May 28, 2022, Akeem transitioned to his heavenly home to be with the Lord.
Akeem was a 2022 graduate of Manchester High School in Manchester, GA. He was an avid football player who enjoyed playing the sport from the age of five throughout his senior year of high school. He was employed with EccoMelt in Manchester, GA. Akeem was a jokester who loved to dance and was known for his charming smile and endearing personality. He was known to his family as “Big Sexy.”
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother Myrtis Parks and uncle Brian Stevenson.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Akenna Ellison, and sisters, Ashari Ellison and Ajah Ellison; his loving father, Maurice Parks; brothers Shaquavious Stargill, Marquavious Parks, and Lavarous Boyd; sisters Juanevry Rosser, Chantreyuna Gray, Bre’Asia Maddox, Jazmine Ferguson, Myeshia Ferguson, Mykia Ferguson, Ashondria Haynes, Ahmonee Haynes, Aniya Douglas, and Nyala Mckee; maternal grandmother, Pamela Johnson; maternal grandfather, Jasper “JJ” Anderson, Jr.; paternal grandfather Nathanial Williams; paternal great-grandfather Tony Stevenson; maternal great-grandmother Shirley Terry; god-parents Alphonso and Karmeika Harris; a best friend Alphonso “Ajay” Harris; and his friends “The Frontstreet Boys”; a niece with whom he shared a special bond, Journee Rosser; as well as a special bond with great-great aunts Pauline Prather and Alice (Sammy) Ellison and aunts and uncles: Donzell Harris, Desmond (Fatima) Muhammad, Monica Terry, Byron Parker, Brigette Trice, Renesha White, Kanidrus Prather and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.
