Anthowan Smith, 41, raised in Talbot County passed away on April 25, 2022 in Columbus Georgia. Anthowan was born August 20, 1980 to his mother, Doris Green Smith (Willie) and his father, John A. Smith (Val). He was preceded in death by his brother Jonathan Smith and grandmother, Katie Lee Green.
Anthowan graduated Central of Talbotton in the wonderful class of 1998 and Columbus Technical College in 2006 completing an Automotive Collision Repair degree.
Anthowan leaves behind a lifelong partner, Tanica Sampton of Columbus Georgia. Very dear to Anthowan’s heart his two daughters, Marlei Smith of Columbus Georgia, A’Myra Mitchell of Atlanta Georgia, a grandson, DeMarcus “Cool Dude” White. He also leaves to cherish his memories, two sister, Tonya Smith (Kenneth) of Atlanta Georgia and Ayanna Turner (Anton) of Waverly Hall, stepbrother, Donte Terry and two step-sisters Aisha Terry and Shakeila Copeland. Anthowan has nine loving nieces and nephews, Jakevis Jarrett, JaQuavious Smith, Arcidus Baums, Demontez Howard, Alysha Smith, Keonte Terry, Keasia Terry, Zaidan Turner, and Zoie Turner. Two God-brothers, Akevius Rucker and Julian Turner. Seven beloved aunts and uncles. Moses Green (Sheila), Nathaniel Green, Richard Smith (Norma), Roosevelt Smith (Adrene), David Toney Ingram, Henry Scott Ingram, Annie Marie Ingram.
Anthowan cherished his lifelong brotherhood with the May’s boys, Jarrod Mitchell, Derrick Brown, Travis Mahone, Yuri Warrior, Cedric Williams and so many more close friends. Professional Services provided by the Licensed Professionals at McCoy Funeral Home.
