Christopher Dashawn Dodson
was born July 20, 1991, in Riverdale, Georgia, to Carolyn Alexander and Charlie Dodson. Through careful guidance by his family, Chris accepted Christ at a very young age. His infectious laughter, love for music, and laid-back personality made him loved by everyone he met. Chris served as
a musician at both Red Oak Grove Baptist Church and Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
On September 15, 2017, he joined together with the “love of his life,” Tina Martin; through their union they shared six beautiful children.
Chris had a strong love for family and friends. He was an amazing partner, dedicated musician, and loving father, son, brother, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Carolyn Smith; grandfather, Mr. Joseph Alexander, Jr., who lovingly called him “Jim;” and a beautiful aunt, Ms. Angie Dodson.
Christopher Dodson leaves to cherish his memories: loving fiancé, Tina Martin; wonderful children, Chrishaun, Khalil, Riley, Brayden, Tiara, and Nadilee; loving and devoted grandmothers, Margie Alexander, Mildred Dodson, and Della Mae Smith; loving fathers, Charlie Dodson, and Mr. and Mrs. Routhis Smith (Tracie Smith); three sisters, Whittney Dodson, Khoriza Smith, and Mr. and Mrs. Lashaun (Brittney) Woods; one brother, Cedric Dodson; six aunts; two uncles; three great-aunts; one great-uncle; one great-great-aunt; and a host of amazing nieces, nephews, cousins, and dearly loved friends.
