Clyde Ingram was born to the parentage of the late John Will “Jack” Ingram, Jr., and Florida Mae (Jones) Ingram on October 9, 1945, in Warm Springs, Georgia. Clyde was the second of five children born to this union and enjoyed a very fruitful childhood.
Clyde graduated from Meriwether County Training School in 1963, where he was a member of the band and an excellent trombone player. After high school, he graduated from the Atlanta School of Barber and Cosmetology in Atlanta, Georgia. Clyde was a great entrepreneur, owning the Green Briar Furniture Outlet, Clothing Store, and a Delicatessen located in the Greenbriar Shopping Plaza in Atlanta, Georgia. After retiring, he moved back to his home in Warm Springs, Georgia, and started his own mobile clothing business. He later ventured into owning and operating Lawn Rangers landscaping and straw business.
On July 31, 2023, the heavenly angels descended upon earth and called Clyde home to eternal rest.
Clyde was preceded in death by his father, John Will “Jack” Ingram, Jr., on December 8, 1999, and mother, Florida Mae (Jones) Ingram, on January 25, 1990.
He leaves to cherish his fun, loving, larger than life personality, and wisdom to: his five loving children, Natrious Vashun Jackson of Manchester, Georgia, Yetta Yolonda Canty (Rodney) of Fredericksburg, Virginia, LaToya Prather of Atlanta, Georgia, Rolando Jamal Ingram of Palmetto, Georgia, and Jada Ikea Ragin of Atlanta, Georgia; five grandchildren, Janiya Jackson, Justin Jackson, Ariyana Canty, Roddrick Canty, and Dakera Prather; three sisters, Dorothy Copeland (Jerry) of Atlanta, Georgia, Shirley Harris of Atlanta, Georgia, and Lucille Leonard of Manchester, Georgia; one brother, Jesse James Ingram of Los Angeles, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.Final Care Provided By the Licensed Funeral Care Providers at McCoy Funeral Home.
