DEACON CLARENCE “CC” ELLISON, JR., was born in Raleigh, GA, to the late Louise and Clarence Elllison. At an early age, CC joined Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and remained a devoted and faithful member until his passing.He worked at the Farmers Curb Market in Manchester, GA,and with the Manchester Police Department before beginning his career with the CSX Railroad, where he faithfully served for over 25 years until his retirement in 2002.
CC was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Clarence Ellison; and beloved son-in-law,
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife of 59years, Frances Ellison of Warm Springs, GA; one loving sister,Safiyyah Hassan (Annie Lois Steed); three sisters-in-law,Shelia Winters of Cartersville, GA, and Annie Bell Mahoneand Wendy Durham, both of Warm Springs, GA; four children, Tracy Mcghee, Corey Ellison (Bernadette), Taleshia Ellison (Marcus), and Tyrice Terry (Kathy); he will be forever remembered by his 14 grandchildren, Natasha, Tomeka,Conchetta (Clentavias), Kendrick, Cassandra, Deonesia (Jake),Jeremy, Deontavious, Selena, Roderic, Arcillious, Ambreail,Isaiah, and Jaliyah; 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of other relatives and friends. He also cherished two of his great-grandkids as his own, Ayden and Arielle, and also two special women as his girls, Shelia White and Ellen Carter.
