Dontavious Carter was born January 27, 1989, to his parents Bernard Carter and Carmellus Carter, and from that day forward, his life was a testament to the power of love and family. To his friends, he was affectionately known as “Slick,” and to his family, he was lovingly referred to as “Man.”
Dontavious had a passion for horseback riding, sports, and spending time with his loved ones, and his presence lit up the lives of all those around him. He attended Meriwether County public schools and graduated from Manchester High School, where he was an asset on the basketball court. As a 2007 basketball state champion at Manchester High School, Dontavious's determination and perseverance inspired countless others. His love for sports was contagious, and his devotion to the Alabama Roll-Tide team was second to none.
On January 8, 2025, Dontavious's remarkable journey came full circle as he was called to eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure. Dontavious's memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
