Eddie James Farley, 61, was born April 22, 1963, in Hamilton, Georgia to the late Ophelia Johnson Farley and Ranson Farley.
Eddie passed away on October 26, 2024, in Florence, Kentucky.
He accepted Christ at an early age and joined Friendship Baptist Church where he served on the junior usher ministry. He later joined Woodbury Miracle Fellowship Center Church where he served as a youth Sunday school teacher and Bishop Daniel’s armor bearer. He was educated in the Harris County school system and graduated in the class of 1981. Eddie proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he received several achievements.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a great personality and was a magnet to everyone around him. Eddie was a true sportsman, his favorite team was the Georgia Bulldogs.
Eddie spent most of his career working in the printing industry from Union Camp, to Seal Air and Clorox, just to name a few.
Eddie was employed at Safron USE, Inc., in Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and two sisters; a brother-in-law, Joseph “JoJo” Thompson; a nephew, Terrance Farley; and a host of aunts and uncles.
He is survived by a wife, Julie Farley; one son, Eddie James Anthony Farley (EJ); siblings, Ranson Farley of Hamilton, Georgia, Linda (Clifford) Burton of Midland, Georgia, Joe Henry Farley of Montecella, Georgia, Betty Hixon of Hamilton, Georgia, Mary Joyce Thompson, and Mikey Farley of Columbus, Georgia; his grandkids; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.
