Glenn Moore Obituary

Glenn “Pete” Moore was born on October 9th, 1956, to the late Frank and Teressa Moore in Gay, Georgia. He was the first son of this union. He attended Woodbury High School.
 

He accepted Christ and received baptism at an early age .
Glenn moved to Lakeland, Florida, in 1977, where he began his employment at Buttercrust/Sunbeam Bakery. He was employed there for 15 years after which he worked for Universal Forestry Products for 11 years. This company moved from Florida to Georgia however “Pete” as everyone called him remained in Florida, at which time, he began work at Publix Supermarket.
 

He was also employed by International Game Technology PLC (IGT) a gambling technology company for the Florida lottery.
He met and married Andrea Chancy in 1979 at Greater Saint Paul Missionary Baptist Church where they attended. They were blessed with two children Glenn Moore, Jr., and Courtney Moore.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Teressa Moore; sister, Willie Rein Moore; brother, Kenneth Moore; maternal grandparents, J.C. and Kate Harps; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Alice Moore.


He leaves to cherish his memories four children, Keith McAfee(Shaniqu) of Molena, Georgia, Glenn Moore, Jr., of Lakeland, Florida, Lawrence Rhynes Lakeland, Florida, and Courtney Moore of Manchester, Georgia; three grandchildren, Saniiya Jones, Le’Ajah Rhynes of Lakeland, Florida, and Kallie Dennis of Manchester, Georgia; six brothers, Dwight Moore of South Carolina, Frank Harps of Fairburn, Georgia, Lester Moore, Jerome Moore, Anthony Moore, all of Woodbury, Georgia, Tyrone Prather(Rosie) of Gay, Georgia; two sisters, Bernice Moore of Woodbury, Georgia, and Angela Moore of Lakeland, Florida; one aunt, Lousie Harps of Woodbury, Georgia; former wife, Andrea Chancy of Lakeland, Florida; his former in-laws, Alberta Joseph of Lakeland, Florida, and Edith Dixon(Geron) of Miami, Florida; two best friends, Lawrence Sanders of Lakeland, Florida, and Frankie Lee Prather; and a host of nieces, nephews , cousins, and friends who loved him dearly.
