James Barron Obituary

James Riley Barron, a beloved family member and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Woodland, Georgia, on May 24, 2023. Born on November 1, 1948, James was a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
James received his education in the Talbot County school system. He went on to work at the Warm Springs Institute Laundry Department.
In his spare time, James enjoyed cooking. He also loved singing with the choir at church and spending time with friends and family.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Albert Bishop Turner and Mary Alice Turner, as well as his siblings, Donnie Turner, Bobby Turner, and Angela Turner.
He is survived by his loving family: his siblings, Tara Turner (Jake), Beverly Turner, and Stephen Turner (Minister Sonia Turner), all of Woodland, Georgia; nieces and nephews, to whom he was a cherished uncle, Minister Jasamine Turner, Karen Turner, Brianna Walton, Kelvin Turner (Erica), Damien Turner, Timothy Turner (Keshia), Donté Turner (Stephanie), and Rickey Turner; his aunt, Pauline Chandler of Cleveland, Ohio; and uncle, Jack Barron of Atlanta, Georgia. James will also be deeply missed by his beloved friends and extended family. Final Care provided by the licensed funeral care providers at McCoy Funeral Home.
