Jarvis Terrell Turner

Jarvis “Jabo” Prather, age 34, was born on October 22, 1991, in Columbus, Georgia, to William Prather and Carrie Turner. He carried a light that uplifted others, even on his hardest days, until he gained his wings on December 2, 2025. Jabo loved spending time outdoors with his friends and will be remembered for his joyful spirit.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Cornelius Dowell, James Turner, Frances Prather, and his uncle Jimmy Dowell.

Cherishing his memory are his parents, William Prather and Carrie Turner; grandfather Alvin Maine; sister Sherrica Prather; nephew Noah Fortune; God-mother Brenda Ponder; and God-brother Quan Ponder. He is also survived by uncles James Dowell (Dorthy), James Michael Prather, Audrey & Jonathan Prather; aunts Shirley Dowell and Theresa Prather; great-aunts Ida Bell Lindsey and Barbara Love; great-uncle Ben Terry; a host of cousins, friends, and his lifelong friend, Jnisha Williams.
