Beloved Sister & Aunt (1963-2025)
Juanita Marshall of Manchester, GA transitioned to Heaven on Good Friday, April 18, 2025. She was born and raised in Harris County, Georgia to the late Willie Joe and Carrie Marshall. Juanita was a proud graduate of Harris County High School, class of 1981. Inspired and committed to serve beyond her community, she bravely served in the United States Army for 14 years and 10 months as an administrative specialist, reaching the rank of Sergeant before accepting an honorable discharge in 1996. Her time in the military instilled in her a strong sense of discipline and duty that she carried throughout her life.
Professionally, Juanita found immense joy in her role as an administrative assistant within the Meriwether County School District, where she was a diligent, valued, and loved employee. In addition to this, she dedicated many years to Callaway Gardens, where she built lasting connections with colleagues and guests. Juanita was also a faithful and dedicated member of the Piney Grove Church in Waverly Hall, GA. Her commitment to her spiritual community was profound. She approached her church duties with the same passion and enthusiasm she brought to her work.
Juanita loved her family deeply and cherished spending time with her siblings. She especially enjoyed her nieces, great-nieces, nephews and great-nephews and cared for them as her own. Her boundless love, generosity, and nurturing spirit touched their lives deeply, and they will forever cherish the memories they shared with their “Auntie Nita”.
Kindness was the hallmark of Juanita’s character. Her warm smile and compassionate heart left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She will be remembered for her gentle nature, her willingness to help others, and the genuine care she showed to all.
Juanita’s presence will be deeply missed by her family, friends, colleagues, and her church community. Funeral Care provided by the dignified funeral care providers at McCoy Funeral Home Manchester,GA.
