Mr. Jerry Lewis Dozier was born on September 7, 1961, to the late Ida Mae and Jessie Dozier in Talbot County, Georgia.
Jerry attended the Meriwether County school system. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Willie Frank, Joseph, Henry, and Andrew Dozier; and five sisters, Mary McGill, Mattie Hinton, Emma Heath, Bessie Mae, and Lucille Dozier.
On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, Jerry peacefully completed this journey at the Crestview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Atlanta, Georgia.
Jerry was better known as ““Half-Pint”.” He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on weekends, playing games, working around the food truck, laughing, and listening to his old school music. His theme words to his nieces and nephews were “Give me that beat one time” and “Sit your rump down somewhere.”
Half-Pint will be forever remembered by MANY who loved him. He fought so very hard to be the strongest in his time of departure, letting his family know with thumbs up, “I GOT THIS!!!” He was definitely a family man.
He leaves to cherish his memories: the mother of his children, Ms. Clara; four children, Kedric, Brandon Sr., Marion (Darnell), and Ashley (Marrio); nine grandchildren, Kedricka, Christian, Kedriona, Christi, Jaquan, Shamarri, Brandon Jr., Makayla, and Brandee; sisters, Dorothy (Dwight), Sarah Harper, and Della (Micheal); brothers, Robert (Pat), Albert (Geraldine), Jessie (Gloria), and Micheal (Tonja); special nephew, Tyrone Bell, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. A special thanks is extended to Mae-Mae Gunn and her family.
