Ms. Kesha Verlanda Prather was born on August 4, 1968, in Warm Springs, Georgia, to Willie Hugh
and Pauline Prather. On Sunday, October 30, 2022, Kesha transitioned to her heavenly Father.
Kesha was a 1986 graduate of Manchester High School, and she later received a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Marketing from the University of West Georgia. She was a fashionista who was known for her creative fashion and style. Kesha also loved her family dearly, she was an avid reader, and she loved to shop and travel. Kesha was a Business Consultant with Blue Cross Blue Shield for over 28 years.
She was a faithful member of Woodbury Miracle Fellowship under the leadership of Bishop Thomas Daniels. Kesha also was a member of the Miracle Fellowship choir and served on the youth transition team ministry.
She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Lakeves Prather, a daughter, Kadaisha Jenkins, and a bonus son, Jalen Leonard; grandchildren who were her world, L’Ki and Saliyah Prather; fuzzy baby, Kyro Kash; parents, Willie Hugh Prather and Pauline Prather; a sister, Dr. Kanidrus Prather; a brother, Kanarzay Prather; one niece, Kha’Niya Prather; three aunts, Alice (Sammie) Ellison, Deborah (Clement) Smith, and Shirley Terry; two uncles, Joe Louis (Mildred) Ellison and Ronald Leonard; cousins whom she considered sisters, Tekica Dawson, Akenna Ellison, Dedrick Ellison, Avis McKee, and Monica Terry; best friends, Shanel Gainey, Sherry Ann Hough, Jamie Huff and Tonja (Mama) Whitenack; her close friends known as the “Cabin Girls,” Donna Crowell, Tabatha Dickerson, Natrious (Dog) Jackson, Lillie Long, Stacy McGruder, and Fannie Mae Williams; godchildren, Christopher Brendan Hicks, Shameka and Shadeka Hough, and Janiya and Justin Jackson; and a host of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
