Laderek Ferguson was born on May 14, 2001, the son of Katinka Leonard and Derek Ferguson. He was better known to everyone as “Dee”.
Dee was educated in Meriwether County schools, and he later went to Newnan High School, graduating in the class of 2019. He was known for his million-dollar smile, and his humor making those around him laugh. Dee loved his family and friends. He was baptized at an early age, and he knew YHWH (God).
Dee was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Ferguson.
He is survived by: his children, Raegan and Raelin Ferguson, Anlyah Marshall, and Amirah Mitchell; parents, Katinka Leonard, Derek Ferguson, and Andre Hendricks, whom he considered as a dad; three sisters, Shakierra Copeland, Shamiya Ferguson, and Kyjah Graham; three bonus sisters, Chayla Husser, Ashley Walton, and Amiyah Harris; two brothers, Isaian Copeland and KaDerek Ferguson; two bonus brothers, Jaedon Copeland and Rodric Walton; grandparents, Johnny and Mary Leonard, who raised him as their own, Ida Pearl Thomas, and Isaac Thomas, Jr.; uncles, Quentin Leonard, Mandrell Leonard, Darnell Leonard, Travis Ferguson, Terry Ferguson, Marcus Thomas, and Michael Thomas; aunts, Vernell Dillingham, Melody Moulton, and Lynn Trice; bonus uncles, Jasper Huff, Cotyus Parks, Aloysius Copeland, and Lakevis Prather; bonus aunts, Lakesha Rolax and Janita Hill; godmother, Tomekie Whitehead; special cousins, Jalen Leonard (more like a brother), Khia Leonard, Kingston Leonard, Mateo Leonard, Qua Mahone, L’Ki Prather, Ariel Leonard, Shaniya Story, and Jaiden Arnold; and a host of family members and friends who loved him dearly.
