Margaret Prather

Margaret Prather was born on July 20, 1958, to the late Willie B. Prather and Mattie B. Prather. She graduated from Woodbury High School in 1976 and was a faithful member of Woodbury Miracle Fellowship Center.

On Friday, October 17, 2025, God called her home to eternal rest.

Margaret was the true definition of love and selflessness. She had a heart that overflowed with compassion, always putting others before herself. She was known for her generous spirit, and was the kind of person who would give her very last to help someone else. No one ever left her presence empty-handed or without feeling loved.

Margaret treated everyone like family and opened her home to all. Whether it was a warm meal, a listening ear, or a word of encouragement, she gave from the depths of her heart. Her love reached beyond her family to friends, neighbors, and anyone in need.

She was preceded in death by five brothers: Willie James Prather, Richard Prather, Milton Prather, William Peter Prather, and Mickey Prather; and two sisters, Betty Sue Prather and Patricia Prather.

Margaret leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, Eddie B. Prather of Greenville, Georgia, whom she loved dearly; a host of devoted nieces and nephews who adored her; along with countless family members and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Though she had no children of her own, she poured motherly love into everyone she met.

Her light will continue to shine through the many lives she touched. We take comfort in knowing she is now resting in the arms of the Lord, surrounded by peace and everlasting love.
