Marvin Flemister

Mr. Marvin Lewis Flemister was born on May 29,1954, to the late Mrs. Charlie Kate Mahone, a special father, Mr. Willie Joe Mahone, Sr., and his late biological father, Marvin Clark. He was the grandson of the late mother, Georgia Mack Flemister, the late Mr. Jim Henry Flemister, the late Mr. Joe Mahone, and the late Mrs. Mattie Strozier Mahone who all preceded him in death.

He was born and raised  in Woodbury, Georgia. He joined Concord C.M.E. Church at an early age and accepted Christ. Marvin Flemister attended the Meriwether County Public School System. He graduated from Woodbury High School in 1988. Marvin Lewis was a friendly person and didn’t meet any strangers.

 God looked down and saw that Marvin Lewis began to get weary so He called him home from labor to reward. He passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2023.

He was preceded in death by one son, Antonio Flemister.Also he had four brothers and one sister who preceded him in death; Donald and Ronald Lee Mahone, Mr. Jim Henry Flemister, Jimmy Lee Mahone, and Micheal Walker; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Clark.

He leaves to cherish his memories : his children, Derrick Coleman(Gwendolyn) of Gay, Georgia, Marvin Flemister, Jr., of Stockbridge, Georgia, Adrian Owens(Eric) of Woodland, Georgia; brothers and sisters, Ms. Shirley Flemister Mahone of Jonesboro, Georgia, Mr. Norris Flemister, Ms. Charlie Kate Mahone, Mr. Kennedy Mahone, Mr. Donald Mahone, Mr. Willie Joe Mahone, Jr., Astria Marshall, Edward Walker, Tamica Dunlap all of Meriwether County, Georgia, Eric Holmes, Kevin Holmes, Arsenio Holmes, Rika Holmes, all of Talbotton, Georgia, Ms. Eloise Searcy of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Mrs. Georgia M. Render(Frank) of College Park, Georgia, Mattie Gilmore of Woodbury, Georgia; grandkids, Zachery Harns, Cortavius Reeves, Decondra Brooks, Derek Coleman, Jr., and Isreal Flemister; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
