Melinda Faye Jenkins was born on April 1, 1961, in Thomaston, Georgia, to the late Roy and Priscilla Holmes.
Melinda was affectionately known as a Faye “Auntie” to the Hilltop Apartment community.
Melinda spent her adolescent years in Manchester, Georgia. Melinda then journeyed South to Miami, Florida, where she lived for twenty years. She decided to come back home to Manchester to spend her golden years with her huge beloved family. She accepted Christ into her life at an early age and was attending Leverette Hill Baptist Church.
Melinda was preceded in death by her son, Antron Holmes, and eight siblings.
Melinda leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter, Euneaka (Jeffery) Owens; grandchildren, Kendajha and Kendarius Reid; brothers, Willie Ralph (Veronica) Harris and Walter Lee (Cynthia) Holmes; sisters, Hattie Spence, Annie Bell Johnson, Brenda Holmes, Rosa Mae Dewberry, and Roberta Ragglin; a very special set of great-great-nieces and nephew, Aaliyah, Serenity, Johniya, Ken’Toriah, and Kha’Moni; and a host of other relatives and friends that she loved with all her heart.
