Remembering The Life and Legacy of Ret. SFC John Douglas Revell.
On Thursday August 21, 2025 the Lord called our beloved John Revell home. John was born March 26, 1943 in Warm Springs GA, the fifth child of the late John Lewis and Sarah Alice Revell.
John joined the United States Army in 1966 where he served 21 years. He met the love of his life Delois Febry Revell married for 57 years. They had three beautiful children, Lisa Denise (Revell) Monroe, John Delord (Cherial Lashawn) Revell, Shariku Delain (Napoleon) Miles.
Five adorable grandkids, Melody Lashawn (Gregory) Purdue, John Demonte (Zori) Revell, Jonaye Delayna Revell, Jorel Devaun Revell
Three awesome great grandkids, Noah Ahmere Revell, Jace Nicole Revell, Jericho D Revell.
After retirement from the Army he worked for Columbus Ledger Inquire in Columbus GA.
He was known as Trustee John Revell a faithful, dependable, committed, and loving member of Praise Tabernacle Church in Manchester GA until the LORD called him home.
He was preceded in death by two brothers Willie Revell, Al Revell, and one sister Mary Jo (Revell) Woolfolk.
Also left to cherish his memory, one brother Sam (Anne) Revell, three sisters Virginia Wilson, Irma Jean Stokes, Anne Lois Dixon and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love him dearly.
