Sarah Holiday, beloved mother, grandmother, nurse, and community advocate, abruptly departed this life on September 24, 2025.
Born and raised in Warm Springs, Georgia, to parents Frank and Gladys Bussey, Sarah grew up with a deep sense of compassion and commitment to others. She went on to pursue a career in nursing, where she dedicated herself to caring for patients with skill, empathy, and tireless devotion.
In 1995, Sarah endured a near-death ordeal that became a turning point in her life. Out of that experience, she found her calling to speak on behalf of domestic violence survivors, using her own story to inspire strength and hope in others. Her passion for advocacy led her to author her first book, Run Baby, Run, where she courageously shared her journey and message of resilience.
Known for her selfless spirit and genuine kindness, Sarah touched countless lives—within her community, her circle of friends, and her family. She had a gift for making connections wherever she went, and her presence brought comfort and warmth to all who knew her.
Sarah leaves behind two devoted sons, Darius and Shadrick; two cherished grandchildren, Araselli and Liam, who were the light of her life; as well as extended family and a host of dear friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Frank and Gladys Bussey.
Her legacy of love, strength, and advocacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
