Sherry Ann Copeland was born on December 9, 1950, to the late James Rolen Denson and Mary Magalene Copeland in Manchester, GA. She was the eldest of her siblings but was preceded in death by her brother Rusty Waller and sister Rita Collins. She was married to Eddie L. Copeland who preceded her in death on January 29, 1997. She graduated from Meriwether Training School (MCT) in 1968. She worked several jobs including Goody, Square D and at Hoshizaki America until she retired.
Sherry was a very loving, sweet and kind-hearted woman. When she greeted you with a hug, you could feel the love. She was quiet but she had a sense of humor that would catch you off guard many times. She loved a good laugh. Whether you knew her as Sherry, SherrAnn, Auntie Sherry, Ms. Sherry or any other name, you knew her to be a selfless person. She was always looking out for others before herself. She had such a beautiful spirit and will truly be missed by all.
Sherry loved the Lord and had strong faith which was never more evident than in recent weeks. No matter the situation, she trusted God and wanted those she loved to do the same. Her faith carried her through until she departed this life on Thursday, April 20, 2023.
Sherry leaves to cherish her memory a devoted daughter, Leshonda Evette Copeland, brothers Anthony Denson and Robert A. Copeland (Cheryl), sisters Arnester V. White (Calvin) and Bonita D. Anderson, aunts Julia McGee and Sara Williams, uncles Edgar Denson and Carl Denson (Cassandra), in-laws who embraced her as their own, Dorothy M. Copeland, Annette Belk, Annie L. Copeland, Charlie G.
