On October 21, 1995, Corey and Burdette Carreker welcomed a baby girl into their world in Thomaston, Ga. Tamera grew up close to family in Manchester, Ga and attended schools in the Meriwether County School District. She graduated in 2014 from Manchester High School. Tamera was extremely passionate about her family and friends; as her mom says, "she didn't play the radio" when it came to them. Tamera was a great and active mother, amazing sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Tamera was preceded in death by her aunts Diane Copeland and Kershenia Carreker.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her parents, Corey and Burdette Carreker; her partner, Kenvarus "KJ" Holmes; her children, Jaleel McMillian, London Carreker, Kingston and Kalani Holmes; her siblings, Tamecca Hardnett-Turner, Adrian Barnes, and Miracle Carreker; her grandparents, Mildred Patterson and Gertrude Carreker; her niece, Alexius hardnett; her nephew, Aidan Barnes; her aunts and uncles, Randolph (Ruby) WIlliams, Lorenzo (Cynthia) Patterson, Boris Patterson, Ringo Patterson, Maureen (Henry) Edmond, Tim Patterson, Clara Patterson, Pandora (Torrance) Payne, Reggie Carreker, Juan Carreker, and Diana Johnson; her children's grandmothers, Debra Brown and Sandra Holmes; a host of cousins and relatives. Although we are sad to say goodbye, we will cherish the memories forever. Final Care Provided By The Licensed Funeral Care Providers at McCoy Funeral Home.
