Teresa Tucker Obituary

Teresa Lashley Tucker, lovingly known as “Teda” was born on December 20, 1959, in Meriwether County to the late Curvin Buchanan Sr. and Martha Brown. She grew up with her siblings in a loving and supportive family.   Teresa transitioned peacefully surrounded by family at Wellstar hospital in Lagrange, Ga on March 16, 2025.

Teresa grew up in Manchester GA and attended Manchester High School. After High school Teresa enlisted in the United States Army, serving her country faithfully in domestic missions. Her specialty job was Equipment Records and Parts Specialist. While enlisted in the Army Teresa excelled in many areas of achievement. Her faithful service awarded her several badges, ribbons and accolades which include: Army Service ribbon, Overseas service ribbon, good conduct Medal, Army achievement medal and Marksman Badge (Rifle). 

Teresa confessed hope in Christ at an early age. She was last employed at Georgia Pacific Plywood in Durand, Ga. Teresa was a kind hearted loving person who would help anyone. Teresa dedicated her life to helping others and always had a spirit of servant leadership. In March 2001 Teresa was baptized at Leverette Hill Baptist Church in Warm Springs, Ga. Teresa was a dedicated servant and served in capacity as a missionary and lived daily for Christ. Teresa never met a stranger.  Teresa later joined New Life Christian Ministry Church in Woodbury, Ga. Where Teresa continued to serve the lord and her community.

Teresa was preceded in death by her parents. Teresa’s love will forever be cherished by; Her loving daughter Teaondra Dunlap, 2 Loving grandchildren Jayden Dunlap and Tykiereya Dunlap. 6 brothers and 1 sister: Curvin Buchanan Jr. (Shiloh, Ga), Jimmy Buchanan (Patricia), Manchester, Ga, James Buchanan (Janice),McDonough, GA, Linda Martin (Jeande- deceased), Stanley Buchanan (Robin), Bobby Buchanan (Pamela), all of Manchester, GA,  Kenneth Buchanan (Angela), Stone Mountain, GA,  Robert Tucker (Frances), Greenville, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
