Vernice Slaton

Celebration of Life will take place Saturday March 20,2021 at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel Vernice Slaton was born January 23, 1959, to the late Cornelius Slaton and Harrison Slaton. She proceeded in death by her brothers, Robert Lewis Slaton and Antwian Slaton and one sister Thelma Slaton. Vernice moved to Atlanta at an early age where she finished high school at Carver High School in 1977. She extended her education at Devry Insutition. She later worked at K-mart warehouse for numerous of years. She enjoyed cooking, playing games on her phone, drawing, crocheting and spending time with her grandkids; Vernice was a very private person. She leaves to cherish her precious memories one daughter; Lydia Shantelle Slaton, and two grandkids DeQuarius La Shawn Slaton and Nehemiah SeMani Murrah. Two Aunts Annie Sue Berry of Atlanta Ga. Julia Benning of Woodbury Ga. Two Uncles John W. Slaton of Fairburn Ga. Bobby Slaton of Jeffersonville Ga. Host of cousins She will be missed by a host of cousins and Friends.
