WILLIE MAE ROLAXAX was born on June 8, 1946, in Woodbury, Georgia, to the late Willie Doris Harris and Willie Andrew Harris. She attended and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1964. She was joined in holy matrimony to James F. Rolax.
Willie Mae joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at a young age. She was a member of the Helping Hand Club and sang in the Mt. Pleasant Senior Choir for many years.
Family and fellowship were extremely important to Willie Mae. She enjoyed spending time with her family and made sure that they would gather regularly and travel together.
She was survived by: her husband, James F. Rolax; sons, Brian Keith Rolax, Tony Lovett, and Eric Shaun Marshall; sister, Rosia H. Redwine; brother, Mark D. Harris; stepbrother, Benjamin Collins; sisters-in-law, Daisy O. Harris, Dorothy Harris, Helen Y. Harris, Juanita Rose, and Connie Pope; aunt, Wyvonnia Patrick; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends, including Martha S. Harvey.
She was preceded in death by: her grandmother, Elizabeth Patrick; brothers, David R. Harris; twin-preachers, Ed Harris and Edward Harris; and sisters, Daisy Elizabeth and Willie Ann Bailey.
